The Months in SS

 
 

Feb.

Groomed swells, clean conditions with nice light winds,  epic banks at the beachbreaks and nice manageable days at the reefs. We're still coming out of the rainy season with half wet season winds and half dry season winds after 11am and it usually glasses off again around 4pm.

The swell size is between 3-4 foot most days with a swell of 5-6 foot roughly once per trip.

Mar.

The trades are puffing more in March, the groomed swells are more frequent, great conditions with a nice mix of light winds, the banks are still epic at the beachbreaks and the reefs are starting to light up more. There’s plenty of variety due to the variable nature of the winds in March

​The swell size is between 3-4 foot most days with a swell of 5-8 foot roughly once per trip.

Apr.

The season is really starting to pump, the larger swells are starting the conditions are still super clean with nice light winds the trades are starting to kick in around 10-11 but we still get a good mix of winds, epic banks at the beachbreaks still and plenty of PUMPING days at the reefs. 

​The swell size is between 3-4 foot most days with a swell of 5-8+ foot once or twice a trip.

May.

The swells are getting bigger, clean conditions still with nice light winds, epic banks at the beachbreaks and even more PUMPING days at the reefs. 

​The trade winds start to blow a fair bit more towards the end of May from 10am, nearly guaranteeing offshore days out front 80% of the time.

The swell size is between 3-5 foot most days with a swell of 6-10+ foot rolling in once or twice a trip.

Jun.

The swell season is in full tilt now, the trades are up with clean conditions with nice light winds in the mornings, still epic banks at the beachbreaks and the reefs are on fire.

Jul.

Some fo our biggest swells come through in July, we’re on a swell or two a week and the trades are up with clean conditions and light winds in the mornings until 8-9am.

​The swell size is between 3-5 foot most days with a swell of 6-10+ foot rolling in once or twice a trip, the occasional 15 foot swell will come through once or twice at this time of year, which is a sight to be seen and mostly enjoyed at the sheltered spots close by.

Aug.

Similar to July swell season is in full tilt, the trades are up with clean conditions with light winds in the mornings until 8-9am.

The swell size is between 3-5 foot in between swells which are 6-10+ foot rolling in once or twice a trip, the occasional 15 foot swell will come through once or twice a month at this time of year, which is a sight to be seen and mostly enjoyed at the sheltered spots close by.

Sep.

There’s still heaps of swell in Sept, we have some incredible sessions during September. The trades are still up strong with clean conditions with light winds in the mornings pushing out a bit later around 9-10am.

The swell size is between 3-5 foot in between swells which are 6-10+ foot rolling in once or twice a trip.

Oct.

After you look at the gallery shot in October we won't need to sell you on how it's still pumping here in October. There's still heaps of swell, we love October. The trades are still up but we're starting to get some earlier arvo glass offs with clean conditions and light winds in the mornings.

The swell size is between 3-5 foot in between swells which are 6-10+ foot rolling in once or twice a trip.

Nov.

In Nov there's still heaps of swell, the winds back off, the trades are still blowing but the seasons are changing with heaps of days with super light winds and  arvo glass offs with clean conditions, no winds in the mornings and the occasional 1-2 hour tropical shower while still being 27 degrees.

The swell size is between 3-5 foot most days with swells in the 6-10+ foot range rolling in once a trip. We have had one of the best 10-12ft swells we've ever had at this time of year.
